Medved made a career of insulting and misunderstanding the cinematic missteps of people FAR MORE TALENTED AND SINCERE than himself.

His brother's and his wrong headed books have been a bane to the understanding of our cultural heritage for many years.

This alone would be enough to dam him forever in the ZONTAR book of the doomed, but he has continued to commit callous crimes against hu-manity.

(This is from an article entitled "POPULAR CULTURE AND THE WAR ON STANDARDS." First published in a conservative magazine FROM Hillsdale College in Michigan, later reprinted in Readers Digest.)


"Everywhere around us, in every realm of artistic endeavor, we see evidence of the rejection of traditional standards of beauty and worth. In the visual arts, in literature, in film, in music of both popular and classical variety, ugliness has been enshrined as the new standard, as we accept the ability to shock as replacement for the old ability to inspire."


"It's hard to fathom that this reactionary foolishness has any life left in it, having been troted out agianst modernism since the impressionists at least. It is the mantra of ignorance that has been droned by the reactionaries through the ages. It is also disturbingly remindful of the philosophy behind the Degenerate Art show put on by the Nazis.


"The politically correct, liberal notion is that we should never dig deeper to discuss the content of art. Contemporary culture is obsessed with superficial skill and slick salesmanship while ignoring the more important issues of soul and substance."


The term"politically correct" is a favorite buzz word used by the right to stop all discourse on Hu-man rights or personal freedom and turn it into some kind of joke about words like fisherperson or herstory. It is repulsive how the very language has been distorted by the forces of darkness. Medved talks about digging deeper but all he is is a lackey of the religious right.
"This brings us to the third front in the current wars, and perhaps the most crucial battle of all, and that is the attempt to undermine organized religion. A war against standards leads logically and inevitably to hostility to religion, because it is religious faith that provides the ultimate basis for all standards. The God of the bible is not a moral relativist, and He is definitely judgmental. The very nature of the Judeo-Christian God is a Lord who makes distinctions."


So it's war your wantin' is it Mikey ?

 Jerry Falwell and other scum have declared war on many occasions, it is a powerful technique to cloud the thought process with emotion. Medved, like Falwell, states that this war must be fought on three fronts; traditional values, family and religion.
