(Hmmm... I previously speculated that Colin Powell was to
be the new VP after Cheney died or resigned. But then
Tom Ridge was made Homeland Secretary, and the assumption
shifted to him as VP, Powell being seen as having fallen
out of favor in an internal power struggle. Now *this*,
which seems to indicate that Tom Ridge has "failed to
perform" and so may be on the outs. Ironically, John
Ashcroft, the Attorney General, (who is totally
unacceptable to the Senate, being a fanatic and fundie),
has proven to be the point man in the Administration's
Sturm und Drang (Storm and Stress). But HE is a no-go.
Will Giuliani make the cut?)

(It seems you just can't get good fascist help, anymore.)

WHITE HOUSE SHAKEUP RUDY MAY LEAVE TO HOMELAND SECURITY
BY JAN.1-VICE PRESIDENTIAL TALK GROWING....

Capitol Hill sources have confirmed to Ahead News that
there will be a major shakeup in the weeks to come in
the White House. Andy Card will be out and Tom Ridge
will slide over to the chief of staff position leaving
an opening for a forceful leader at Homeland Security.
Talk of Rudy Guliani's Vice Presdiential prosects are
growing with the buzz being that New York's mayor might
take the position by Jan 1 to shield the bad public
relations from switiching Ridge out of the office.

*Real* freedom of speech is only meaningful when
it protects speech you *agree* with, but that is
said by a speaker who fucks it up so incredibly
much that you want to savagely beat him.
