REFS, GREENS SQUABBLE OVER VOTING RULES

WASHINGTON, Nov. 10--Days after an unexpected Election Day surprize,
wherein both Republicans and Democrats found themselves flounced by
"third party" candidates, the two most victorious parties--the
left-leaning Green Party and the more conservative Reform Party--are
already arguing about how to best dismantle the political system which
has favored Republicans and Democrats since time immemorial.

"We must ensure that the political process becomes more equitable,"
said Florence Sneed, Representative-Elect from California and most
likely to become Minority Whip in the House, where the Reform Party
received its greatest gains. "Right now, the system still favors
Republicans and Democrats, even though this past election proved that a
two-party system is 'old-tech', very betamaxxy. We must fix the system
to reflect current political realities."

To a point, the Reform Party agrees, but needless to say they are wary
of the Green Party's motives. President-Elect Maurice X Piper, a
staunch Reform Party member, has already warned the Green-heavy Senate
that any laws that "add to the dead weight of the rotten political
system of our glorious nation" would be vetoed out of hand. Mr. Piper,
a former Black Muslim, has already cause consternation among Greens
when he cut down a tree in February to symbolize the "felling of the
old order." Greens allege that the tree was still alive; Reformists
claim that the tree, a Dutch Elm, was so diseased it may as well be
dead already.

As for the defeated parties, there remains skepticism. "I'd like to see
if they can do things better," said President Bush from his ranch home
in Texas. "But I have my doubts, to be sure." Ironically, Mr. Bush was
playing an old Who album in the background, with the words "Meet the
new boss, same as the old boss" faintly underscoring his own
skepticism.
