I got the new Mac shareware that should work with this format, but they
didn't have an encoder. I will check this stuff out later if I can. I'm
of an "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mindset but it sure would be
nice to be able to crunch these giganto movie files down a lot more.

I have some wonderful little MPEGs of my porno claymation and stuff
from the old days, but at 100 mb, I'm hesitant to post it, especially
right now, what with the ng being a bit top heavy with mp3s already and
teetering.

I have a Windows PC now so conceivably I could get the DivX encoder--
and or this yENC encoder-- and transform some of the longer things. If
we could compress all the main SubGenius books, ARISE, and a few weeks
of audio down to oh, say about 100k, it'd be the equivalent of one of
those miniature Bibles that are so keen. We could all have copies of
our holy texts with us in the Normal Reeducation camps, hidden inside
fake molars.

Didn't someone announce, about a week ago, that they
were working on a data compression algorhythm that was
a factor greater than currently used, (i.e. currently
10:1, what they are shooting for 100:1)? At the time
it was met with cries of derision as impossible, (and
horror, from some movie industry types, who feared it
wasn't, and what it would do to them.)

Also, they always check the molars. Have it implanted
in your fake organic plastic eyeball. I, for one, have
never plucked out an eyeball looking for a gold filling.
