This just pisses the hell out of me. How can they treat him that way.
REFUSING to arrest him! Unforgiveable.

I can imagine him in 10 years, living down in
Argentina, like Ronnie Biggs, the "Great Train
Robbery" guy. Spare changing for drinks in bars
and offering to tell "how it really was" to
grinning English tourists, to make ends meet.

Funny story: for a six-month period before the
Bolsheviks took power in Russia, the nation was
ruled by a man who was perhaps the *most*
incompetent national leader ever, Mr. Alexander
Kerensky.
A juvenile, neurotic individual, Kerensky's lack
of intestinal fortitude and indecisiveness were
as much to blame for the fall of the democratic
Soviet Union as anything.

When everything finally went to hell, he ran off
to live in the United States, where until his
death in 1970, he was still giving guest lectures
to astonished college undergraduates, lying like
a dog and blaming everyone but himself for his
mistakes. A true SubGenius.
