So far Chaz has used those three on the ESO show, and of course the
classic Mothers "Kill for Peace," more or less as background fodder for
the Dave Brain while it spouts. (Corny old early-70s protest songs are
also used to ambiguously ironic effect.) I opened my Winterstar rant
with "Gimme a B... Gimme an O... Gimme a B... what's that smell?" etc.
Or maybe I closed it with that. I know when I started I had a big
inflateable oversized baseball bat with stars and bars all over it and
was begging ANYBODY to take me on.

But of course it was a room full of hippie peace pussies.

The last several Hour of Slacks had so many chopped up Bush speeches
set to disco music that I have gotten tired of them. It's always the
same thing... "The United States is... an axis of evil... and our
American armed forces will do their best... to support terrorism." Or
whatever. The first one (Codini's) was funny. Now it's a fad. What I'm
looking for now is Bush cut to disco music saying things more along the
lines of "The United States is a powerful.... banana... and our troops
will... date Nancy Sinatra." Or whatever. Nice neutral surrealism. Just
for a CHANGE.

Dr. Legume and Rev. Ed Strange were in Cleveland last Thursday more or
less enroute to Brushwood, and did the live ESO show. So now we at
least have some "Fuck this shit" pro-war material to go with the
anti-war shows we did before the shooting started.

As Legume, a former soldier, pointed out, the soldiers DID volunteer
for the shittiest job in the world, and as Strange, also a former
soldier, pointed out, they ARE being paid at LEAST as well as the
burger flippers at McDonald's.
