Here's a list of mostly older stuff that I find myself digging out and
replaying year after year.

"I THINK WE'RE ALL BOZOS ON THIS BUS" The Firesign Theater
THE BRANDENBURG CONCERTOS (Walter Carlos versions)
"NOTHING TO FEAR" -- Oingo Boingo
"The Mysterious Film World of Bernard Herrmann"
"TROUT MASK REPLICA" -- Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band
"200 MOTELS" -- Frank Zappa
"For a Few Dollars More/ Good Bad & the Ugly" -- Ennio Morricone
"TORNADO" -- The Rainmakers
"THE RETURN OF DOLEMITE" -- Rudy Ray Moore
"18 X-Rated Hits" -- David Allen Coe
"RELENTLESS" -- Bill Hicks
"LIVE AT CARNEGIE HALL" -- Lenny Bruce
THE TUBE BAR TAPES (prank calls)
ARNIE & BARNIE VS. BINNY ("Al White Motors" prank calls)
OBE-KINGS OF FEEDBACK (Bill T. Miller)
"A BIG 10-8 PLACE" -- Negativland
"GREATEST HITS" -- The Swinging Love Corpses
"ARMED FORCES" - Elvis Costello
"A LEWD SPECTACLE OF WANTON DEPRAVITY" - Drs. 4 "Bob"

These are also high on my stack:
> Love Overdrive-Reagan's Polyp
> Electric Ladyland-The Jimi Hendrix Experience
> Live @ Leeds-The Who
> Greatest Misses-Devo

In fact I would be tempted to put Electric Ladyland at the top. It's
sure the album I've heard the most times, with the Brandenburg
Concertos done by Walter Carlos a close second.

What you have done here is start another "THINGS TO SEE SAY AND DO"
fragment.

Yesterday I was reading up on, and downloading, "Guestbook" and
"Message Board" progs which I could imbed in SubSITE so that SubGenii
could contribute to huge "best of" lists that go on forever.

THINGS TO SEE SAY AND DO and the BUMMERS project might finally have a
medium to exist in. This has been suggested to me umpteen times but so
far it has been up to me to actually learn the names of the odd little
freeware doohickeys that allow one to do this FOR FREE -- interactivate
one's website. That's what I've been doing all week.

What was actually on my CD player most of the time was The Rolling
Stones, Johnny Winter, Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, Frank
Marino, Santana, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaugn, Hendrix, Ozric Tentacles,
the Netherlands Chamber Choir, Body Count, and Opeth, but... that's a
different type of list really.

I'm with you on the Brandenburgs. They are really good.

Carlos did "Switched-On-Bach 2000" a while back -- a complete remake
of the first album. She seems to have no idea that the imperfections
of the early stuff are part of its charm.

I borrowed the "Switched-On-Box Set" from the library. One disk had a
computer program: a digital re-creation of a Moog synth. To someone
of my Born-in-the-Space-Age generation, THAT WAS SO BITCHIN'.
