Suddenly that position at the local Qwik-E-Mart doesn't sound so
bad...

A shame that sexual mores have made prostitution seem so icky. It
certainly seems otherwise to be a much more honorable position than
most these days.

When I lick myself, it's usually just a little reward for a job well done.

You feel especially so after reading Camilla Paglia's
take on prostitution. Her argument is that it has a
bad name solely because the public never sees the
successful prostitutes--only the losers.

A successful prostitute has no arrest record, doesn't
really abuse drugs or alcohol, doesn't work for a pimp
and eventually gets a "real" job, and not necessarily
as a fry cook; often as a professional white-collar
type.

I might add the corollary that success in the business
usually means you get out of the business, unless you
have some hidden defect that keeps you there. For
prostitutes are like gymnasts, and in both cases it
doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that
you're not going to be doing it for the rest of your
life, at least profitably. So it's a good idea to
cross-train, or at least invest.
