I just picked up "LEFT BEHIND II: TRIBULATION FORCE" at MalWart today
for $5. Been curious about that series. Will it be up to the level of
"The Omega Code" and "Megiddo"? DOUBTFUL!!

I fell in luv with Miss Brunner when I finally
realized that she *absorbed* people when she had
sex with them. Marvelously understated, along with
lots of other bits. You really have to listen
closely for the bulldada, the one liners, the
British-isms. From the novel by Michael Moorcock.

Note: Amsterdam accidently nuked and the Vatican
"torn down and replaced", without any other
explanation.

BTW, I think "Dawn of the Dead" is a great example. It fulfills some

Bah! You had to watch the film twice to find those totally unintersting
quotes, didn't you? Meanwhile, we have people on the froup who can
recite verbatim THE ENTIRE DIALOG from Life of Brian. Nearly every
line in that movie has become an integral part of western culture.

Long after people have forgotten Exorcist (I can't even remember who
starred in it) they will be saying "what have the Romans ever done for
us?"

Jezuz Chrizt man, we're talking the definitive movie about a 2000 year
old religion here. Why must you always take the low road?

Considering that we're on a newsgroup devoted to the Church of the
SubGenius, that's the heftiest rhetorical question I've seen since the
last person asked that Meow impaction why he had to be such an
asshole. I take the low road because that's where my CLAN is. Like, so
very DUH!

Was that really in the movie?

Oh synchronous day.

But you're right, I can't. And the only reason I remember the "hell cock
sucking" one is because it's the one everyone remembers and repeats. I
wouldn't have been surprised to learn that it was never in the actual movie.

"Do you know what she did? Your cunting daughter?"

i understand this line was left out of some edits of the film, but it's
quite prominent in the Skinny Puppy song "Burnt With Water".

Actually, I seriously think "The Ruling Class" with Saint Peter
O'Toole should be high on the list. Both hilarious and VERY dark by
turns, it encompasses social snobbery, religion, mental health care,
politics and sexual hijinks of several kinds in grand style. ANY flick
wherein Peter sees himself as Jesus for the first half HAS to deliver
the goods and boy, does it. Some genuine horror, in there, as well. A
true must-see for all SubGenii. Trust me, I'm a Pope. Doin' the
Varsity Drag!

I'm mildly surprised that no one has yet mentioned the trashy classic
"God Told Me To." When the pivot of the tale was finally revealed, it
was anticlimatic, but the first 3/4 of the thing, mmm, deliciously
creeeepy.
