I got two Stooge DVD's from my Nephew from Christmas. Brand new, colorized by
some of the same people who probally died in the Tidal wave.
The good thing is you can turn the color on & off.
But the movies are clear and clean.
The Video transfers still had the dingleberries from 60 years od storage &
handleing.
The DVD's have been digataly remastered! So we can study our Stoogely Arts
without pops in the sound track, or lines on the screen!
Praise "bob"! All that technolgy is good for something other then targeting
people for distruction!

Funny, we bought a DVD player for my dad for Xmas and among the DVDs we
got for him to start out with was a $1 Stooges collection (starts with
"Disorder in the Court). My dad and I watched the whole thing last
night, cackling like idiots. These were not colorized.
It was great seeing Vernon Dent's nuanced performances again. He was
the fourth Stooge, you might say -- the fat guy who played straight man
or villain in a large percentage of the Curly and Shemp shorts.
There is a 3 Stooges Usenet binaries newsgroup that was like a
revolving archive of everything they did. It's kind of sleepy lately.

I got this Felix the Cat cartoon, very old black &
white felix (1938?). I had to capture it for personal
fornd on the computer.
Felix goes to Holland and eyes some sexy wooden shoe girl and drives a car
with plates that read "Holland 420"; soon he's growing tulips (that look like
poppies more than tulips) and watering them with gin.

I have a VHS called The Three Stooges Medium Rare which has their
appearance on an Ed Wynn TV show, a Ted Healey and His Stooges
appearance in a short called Hollywood On Parade, and most bizarre and
tedious of all a short called Knife of the Party (
http://tinyurl.com/4xnou ) - read the viewer's excellent comment in this
imdb entry. Shemp Howard is erroneously given a band of "Stooges" of
his own; speechless bowler-hatted false-moustached boobs who spend much
of their time stumbling over each other in an archaic and unfunny
manner. The "star" of the thing, Jack Good, is a fellow I have only seen
once before, as a member of the band in Flying Down to Rio.

I always like Dudly Dickerson. He was the black guy who always played the cook,
Pullman Porter, etc.
The Stooges were known to have their "favorites" in their films. They knew how
to interact with them.
You see some of the other extras and they look like they are in shock at what
is going on around them.
Also the Stooges, form what I under stand, insisted that all the extras, no
matter what their skin color, got paid equally!
My older brother went to Stooge Convention and got to hear Larry's Daughter and
Dudly's Grand Daughter speak.

If YOU could fly unaided, I'd know that the guy that created "The Flying
Nun" had taken massive amounds of hallucinogens while switching channels
between "Touched By An Angel" and "Monster Garage" and came up with "The
Ballistic HellPope".
