I don't see LaRouche or McLuhan's art mentioned here. What's up?

Quote:
Only by gaining a full command of the skills of the past Masters can we
create the Masters of tomorrow. This is a step forward for our culture.
Experimentation and creativity can only succeed and prosper when built
on a solid foundation of past accomplishments, with the tools which
empower artists to realize their visions.
Nothing has been more restricting and debilitating than the theories of
modernism, which eliminated these tools, along with the skills to employ
them. We are providing a forum for artists, scholars, collectors and
the public to appreciate great art, and to recognize that they're not
alone in their suspicions about the emptiness of modern and postmodern
art. These suspicions are fully justified by the overwhelming body of
evidence and historical facts
End quote.
I think it's great! Not that I necessarily think that the highest art
should look just like a nineteenth century beer tray the way this person
does, but hell it won't kill you to learn how to draw. Oh wait, that's
what killed me. But I think there is always room for reactionism.
There's an entertaining book called "Art and Anarchy" by Hamilton Fish,
in which he puts forth his views that modernism and abstraction form a
cult of subliminal sadism, the alteration and abstraction of forms being
a manifestation of the desire to torture others. I have become a
realist in recent years simply because it doesn't require creativity or
thought of any kind. This month I started doing small watercolors which
I can usually finish in a day - working on one painting for as much as a
week was getting to be too tiresome. I just copy my own photographs of
wrecked or abandoned cars filled with junk or covered with tarps,
collections of stuffed animals like Garfields or Pokemons, the back
doors of old buildings, etc. Gives me something to do. I have no
artistic philosophy. It's a cheap and harmless hobby.

you probably think a lot about sadism if you have a name like
"Hamilton Fish". I know I would.
To a man with a hammer, the world looks like nails. To a man who
looks like a nail, the world looks like sadists.
