Then don't. The rant wasn't aimed at you.

Bapt then Presby... should've become Unitarian LOL!

You get it! And I have no idea where you reside but you are lucky if
most Christians are like you. You have a brain. I've traveled the world
in the military... have been the missionary... you name it. At least 50%
of ALL Christians follow blindly. In my last congregation, the minister
before taught hate to all not like him. I see it almost everyday here in
the bible belt south. I once quoted from the apocrypha chapter of
Infancy 1, and a woman in the church literally short circuited!

I had a man stand up one day and use the word nigger and I had him
thrown out. (And no I'm not black thank you LOL!) Apparently the
preacher threw that word around often... I thought it was just that
church after I quit. Having worked now in 20 some odd churches here in
Georgia and Florida The hate they preach is scary. It's not always
racial but just an "Us against them" mentality.

Recently, A lady invited me to a church of Christ gathering in Atlanta
proper, I politely told her no thanks, that I had plans with my church
on Sunday and I was a minister. She very promptly (and quite angrily)
told me that I would burn in hell if I didn't attend her service!

These experiences come from all over the world in hundreds (maybe
thousands of churches). Feel lucky that your experiences are fruitful. I
use the word majority because it IS the majority. And it's sad.

It's why I belong to the Subgenius now, it's why I'm a paying member of
the Pantheist society. I have even given the Raelians some money!

Christianity, as it's taught in MOST churches, is NOT Christianity.

Ever wonder why Al Queda is trying to kill us? I was in the Persian Gulf
the first time around and I can tell you why... Because Christian
missionaries are trying to FORCE yes FORCE their beliefs on Muslims
worldwide. Telling them that their God is false and that the path to
enlightenment is through Jesus Christ. That they are sinners and were
destined to burn. It's not the main reason they hate us... but one of
the top 3.

My rant stemmed from a drive-by posting to a newsgroup about how we were
all going to burn in hell because Jesus told them so. These people need
to be stopped and re-programmed so to speak. And if you call yourself a
good Christian, which I believe you may be, it's your job to rescue
these people before they hurt themselves or someone else like David
Koresh. It's no longer my job. Do I believe in God? Of course I do. Will
I ever step foot in a Christian church again?... maybe, but I doubt it
highly.

There are conspiracy theorist all over the internet that belief that the
government uses religion to control the masses. I'm not really into
that, although I have read quite a bit about these ideas because I am
open minded, it almost makes sense. Georgia is a Christian extremist
"Fundy" breeding ground. I've spoke with many whose ministers told them
that a Republican vote was a vote for God. That's sick if you ask me!

Anyway, my apologies If I got you worked up, but I did laugh because the
extremist fundies are usually the first ones to speak up, although
they usually just short circuit and tell me to go to hell then
disappear. Which is the idea so that they wont come back into the
newsgroup and bother us anymore. It takes a certain intellect to be in a
newsgroup (albeit sometimes a perverted intellect) Just doing my part to
try to clean them out.

The crosspost to alt.slack is because these guys... Subgenii... which I
am proudly one of them now.... They get it! They understand this
principal (even Victoria).

I urge all true Christians to police your ranks before you turn into
Catholics! LOL! Again another joke! Duh! LOL!

I woulda kicked her in the crotch REAL HARD and said "GOD TOLD ME TO DO
THAT!!" while she writhed in pain. In fact, you should set FIRE to
anyone who tells you that you're going to burn in Hell. Its the only
logical path to take. Dear Christ, I hate Christians.

That's one hell of a pickle,
Connie said to the beefy butcher.

"Who's that?"
"Oh, you wouldn't know them darling;
they're respectable."

"How DARE you interfere with my literary posturing
and sully it with points of style???
The worst part is, you are correct. F**K you, sir."

and all I see on your side is an old lady"
