Gonzon the Great, the popular Muppet, has been found dead at his home in Colorado.
Gonzo's son, Clucky, found his lifeless body. He said it looked like he'd probably shot himself, but
then again 'he was never really alive - just a puppet"
He is best-known for his 1972 account chicken addiction, Feathers and Lusting in Las Vegas.
Gonzo pioneered "Thompson journalism", a factual style in which the writer was repeatedly fired out
of a cannon and other death defying stunts.

I'm thinking a proper New Orleans-style funeral,
with Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem playing
the dirge.
Then afterwards, the orgy-BBQ with Cajun chicken.
It's not often you see somebody who says,
"I'm a chicken fucker and I'm proud!"
(I am reminded of the trumpet player who, when
asked, told the ignorant critic that everything
he knew about trumpet, he learned from Buddy Rich.
The critic didn't look that up before he quoted him.)

The Muppet lover in me both mourns the dear weirdo and applauds you
(another weirdo).
