I think this is incorrect.

Gilbert Lewis .... King of Cartoons (1986-1987)
William Marshall .... King of Cartoons (1987-1991)

William Marshall is better known as "Blacula", btw.

Ossie Davis would have made a FINE
King of Cartoons, but he didn't. He did,
however, play ML King Sr. in the film "King";
he appeared in a movie called "King of Jazz";
and he also played the character "Marshall" in
"Joe Vs. The Volcano."

I will always remember him as the director of
COTTON COMES TO HARLEM -- my 2nd favorite
Godfrey Cambridge movie.
