Mut’ah marriage means that a man marries a woman – either Muslim or from
the people of the Book – and specifies how long the marriage will last,
for example five days, or two months, or half a year, or many years.
The beginning and end of the marriage are specified, and he pays her a
small mahr (dowry), and after the specified time is over, the woman
exits the marriage.
Hmmmmm.... I think there is some other religion that has short term
marriages.

Yuh, I had a six-month marriage with a Somali Muslim woman.
Her idea, I'd never heard of such a thing before. But six months
was about right. During that time, I found out that I could have
four wives! One 40, one 30, and two 20's seems about right,
I didn't like the no beer and no bbq'd ribs part. But the jhat was good!
Chewing jhat and drinking sweet tea is a pleasant way to pass time.

That would be the Church of the SubGenius.
Except that unlike these ridiculous expressions of
misery and anxiety, punctuated with acute discomfort
and neuroses which typify every other type of what
they crudely and mistakenly call "marriage", a
SubGenius ShortDurMar sublimely joins 1.13 or more
spiritual essences into an eternal MicroBliss(tm),
that is far more transcendental than any periodontic
and furtive joining exercise any merehume might ever
achieve.
And even though a ShortDurMar promises a mear linear
hour of unparalleled orgasmicatude, in that hour, one
and .13 or more can truly become one with "Bob", and
even rend the very fabric of the netherverses with
their anti-superannuated mate-snorking.

itself to your forehead, and digs in. Then a drill
comes out and pierces your skull just above the

end. I hate it when that happens."
