Rest in Slack, Rev. Eris Pagana

Late this afternoon I went to the post office. There was a letter to me
with the return address of a lady I know, a friend of mine. But when I
opened it I found a letter not from her, but from her husband. She died
suddenly and unexpectedly last Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2005. She had been
about to mail me a newspaper clipping about the performance artist
Brother Billy -- the letter was addressed and stamped. After she died
her husband added his letter to me about her death to the envelope and
mailed it.
X-Day-going SubGenii would easily remember her as Rev. Eris Pagana. She
always traveled with her friend Yukon Jack, the blind fellow who does
WICA radio in Milwaukee and brought up his transmitter and DJing skills
to Brushwood for many X-Days. She was unbelievably sweet. I married her
and Rev. DJ Farrell about 3 years ago at their cool house in the woods
near Milwaukee.
I can't imagine what it must be like for Rev. Yukon Jack or Rev. DJ.
She was Yukon Jack's eyes and probably the better half of DJ Farrell's
brain. I don't think he would consider that a flippant thing to say.
It's what I say about my wife and our shared brain. I can't even
imagine.
Rest In Slack, Rev. Helen Elaine Farrell. We'll see you on the Escape
Vessels of the Sex Goddesses. For you have surely joined their number.

Thank You Rev. Stang.
Your sentiments are truly heartfelt.
Although we have missed the last 3 end of the world gatherings with WBOB,
I'm glad you've taken the time to remember Eris.
Words can't express my grief. and nothing you could say could be construed
as "Flippant" in any way.
Helen suffered from a painful condition called Fibromyalgia. That, combined
with the aftereffects of childhood polio, left her in constant pain. She
worked as long as she could, then we began an 18 month fight to get her on
disability.
That finally came through in October.
We were hoping that, after more robust physical therapy, she would be well
enough to make the trip out to Brushwood this summer...
That's all up in the air now.
The Church of the Subgenius meant so much to her. That's where we met in
2000. Rev. Stang married us on May 11, 2002, and she was forever saying how
Bob and Connie sanctified our marriage when things got tough.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, again and again...
Comments and tributes are much appreciated.
You may E-Mail me personally if you like.

I think I understand... In death, a member of Project Merehume *has* a
name!
(truly not to be flippants.. or any kind of pants, underpants
included)
