Is that SubGenius as in Bob Dobbs?

The SubGenius Corporate Headquarters and Banking Office relocated to
Cleveland last Fall, but we're still in the seemingly interminable
process of shifting every last little phone number, address, and bank
account bill-pay.

Today it was Discover cards. Although all the other credit cards had
been directed to go into the new Cleveland vaults instead of the
various old Texas vaults, any swag money from a Discover card was still
funnelling to the Texas account. in fact those were the only things
breathing any life into that account at all.

So today I called the Discover Network toll free number, prepared for
the usual long run-around and rigamarole when they find out I'm not
Mister Bevlee... bevlee...beerverlakuiea? Instead I got a pleasant gal
on the second ring who asked for my merchant number and company name.

When I said "SubGenius Foundation" she said, "Say, would that by any
chance be SubGenius like in "Bob" Dobbs and Church of the SubGenius?"
This is the first time I've gotten that in the course of a bank related
call. I said yeah, sure is. She said "Wow, I read that Book of the
SubGenius, gosh, YEARS ago. My friends all were into that book! I'm so
glad to hear you all are still around!"

I gave her the quick song and dance, more books, videos, radio show,
CDs, SUBGENIUS DOT COM. Told her we'd moved to the Internet mostly but
still go outdoors once a year at this campground near Cleveland. This
caused her glee since she's in Columbus, Ohio. I said we never did get
real famous but only secretly famous, she said "Oh, I'm sure that's for
the better, that's just the right size fame" and to tell the truth she
may be right, although I wouldn't mind a LITTLE more secret SALES to go
along with the secret fame.

She faxxed me the stuff I have to fill out and send back, and we agreed
that more money pumping through Discover to the SubGenius bank was
better for everyone all around.

Best deal for your money this time around is the 6 month Hour of Slack
subscription. They come on CDs every week (or 2 in 2-weeks, depending)
and all 50 weird clips are independent tracks you can shuffle or copy.
You can always tell when it's gonna be a really EXTRA GOOD show when
it's hand-labeled by Princess Wei "R." Doe.

That reminds me. What does the subgenius.com mail server run? What I'm
looking for is procmail. Just as I was getting really happy with procmail,
my previous provider did away with it.

I don't know. The term procmail didn't come up while the big
change-over happened and I'm not sure what it means.

I was just thinking, literally *THIS MORNING* how great it would be if I
could get the Hour of Slack in little MP3 bitlets, so I could do a roll my
own car commute radio mp3 disk (right now, I just set winamp and
streamripper to rip Secret Agent when I go to bed, and when I wake up, I
have 8 hours of high quality spy music MP3's to burn to disk. That sets me
up for the whole week). I had all these plans to mix it with other stuff I
streamrip, and make it into one evil 8 hour rollercoaster MP3 Fun Ride.
Here I was planning on posting a request, when here you had already
unknowingly read my mind.

So, that being said, would you ever consider offering the independent HOS
tracks as a zipped file on the HOS page?
