How I got in my pajamas, I'll never know

"One of the saddest lessons of history is this:
If we've been bamboozled long enough,
we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle.
We're no longer interested in finding out the truth.
The bamboozle has captured us.
It's simply too painful to acknowledge,
even to ourselves, that we've been taken.
Once you give a charlatan power over you,
you almost never get it back.
So the old bamboozles tend to persist
as the new ones rise."
- Carl Sagan, "The Demon Haunted World"

"I think my spleen and appendix just switched places."
- Teen Titans"

Man, I remember the days when Krusty used to endorse only QUALITY
products, like the Dalkon Shield IUD and the Watergate Hotel.

Sort of looks like the Hamilton Pulsar watches that came out in
the early 70's - except they used a led version of the Nixie
Tube. I've got one of the second or third generation versions
that Litronix made - you had to push the button to get the time
and the two button battries lasted about a week before they
needed replacing.

As used by 007 Roger Moore in "Live & Let Die". If seen today one may
wonder what the big deal was in looking at your watch. (Or using an
espresso maker, for that matter.)
