I posted an MP3 to alt.binaries.slack several days ago and apparently my
server ate it, because I only ever saw message 0 make it out into the wild.
the MP3 is a recording someone made of a song I wrote called "RETRACT YOUR
LIES". now, I haven't been badgering alt.slack about Interrobang Cartel,
the world's greates USENET punk band, because I figure it would just leave
you slackfux feeling all INADEQUATE and LOWLY to realize that
alt.religion.kibology is the New Thing and we are all way more talented
than you.
BUT.
I figured you'd all enjoy RETRACT YOUR LIES because it's a song about
USENET flamewars -- which, "Bob" knows, is a good description of 90% of
alt.slack.
plus, it's very metal sounding.
since my server obviously doesn't want me to post binaries, I suppose you
will all just have to CLICK on the LINK.

This just proves that "Bob" and his doctrines are
real and your graven image thingy is a FALSE thingy.
Throw away your falsies, join "Bob".

I suspect the software looked at the song title and interpreted it as
an auto-cancel.
I remember seeing Interrobang, back in '85 or so. They played a club
in the DC area before the Crimestoppers -- a cubemate was the drummer
for the Crimestoppers.

just to clarify, Interrobang Cartel is not Interrobang. TO OUR KNOWLEDGE.
we're aware of another band with half our name, but there's no other
connection.
however, some of our musicologists are working on restorning some early
Interrobang Cartel recordings from the '20s, '30s, and '40s. one problem
is that these early releases were recorded on wax cylinder -- even after
everyone else had switched to Edison Diamond Disc. furthermore, the few
cylinders we've been able to locate were all in the possession of a Mr.
Billy-Bob Hootenanny from North Carolina, who apparently ran out of
corncobs one winter. yuck.
oh, also, we have an umlaut over our "o", but I'm being a 7-bit purist.
