Tapes/Transcript of Earliest Rush Limbaugh Shows?

Does anyone know of a site which has transcripts or audio from Rush
Limbaugh's very earliest days on the air? Not his days as a kid
deejaying or like that - specifically, I finally have found a couple of
people to confirm I'm not nuts, and that Rush used to point out on
occasion that listeners "shouldn't get upset" because he was just
"doing a character" and that he was basically a comedian.

Is there a particular place online or elsewhere that discusses this?
I've thought about thumbing thru one of Al Franken's books, but I
somehow assume that's not an angle he plays up.

(BTW: My own limited experience with the EIB network has been pleasant
enough - as a writer in the mid-90s for a Liberal Weekly Newsrag in
Austin, Texas, I had to call and fact-check something erroneous that
Rush had said on TV regarding a local resident (Gibby Haynes of the
band Butthole Surfers, tho Rush didn't actually say the band's entire
name aloud!). Not only did producer Kit Carson call me back personally
within minutes, he also made no attempt to bolster Rush's "99 point
whatever percent right" on-air persona. The EIBers cheerily told me
that if I thought Rush was full of hot air, then he probably was. No
big deal!)

Rush has always reminded me of what Mussolini said about his change from
being a robber and street thug to being a newspaper publisher. He
realized nobody would even remember what he had said the week before so
he could say and do anything he damn well pleased.
