ARISE! Out-Takes on a.b.m.s.

Test screenings indicated that more than 80 minutes of ARISE! The
SubGenius Movie was harmful, so we eliminated an entire ten-minute
reel. This reel was fairly easy to eliminate since the subjects
coverted were drugs, Dokstok (the early "X-Days") and The Bleeding Head
of Arnold Palmer.

This cut was made before the film was scored, so this out-takes reel
has a somewhat dead soundtrack compared to the finished ARISE. Dr.
Hal's narration however is there.

This 10 minute reel is now on alt.binaries.multimedia.slack in
VCD-ready mpeg1. So is CD #1 of ARISE! in vcd-mpeg1. Last week or so I
posted ARISE! in SVCD mpeg2, but not the out-takes.

CD #2 of ARISE! vcd will go up hopefully tomorrow, along with an SVCD
of Detroit Devival 2005 excerpts, which I've been editing. We got some
real good moments from that one, thanks to the many excellent bands and
ranters.

The ARISE! Out-Takes are also on "PreDobbs StangFilm" DVD in our
catalog.
