Earlier today I was explaining some of the finer points of the Church
to a potential member. I began to stumble a bit when I had to explain
to him what slack was, because as you know, it's a slippery slope with
that stuff. He looks at me and says:

"So, it's like the guy in "Office Space"."

I stared at him blankly and then said,

"YES. I never made that connection before, but yes, it's EXACTLY like
the guy in "Office Space". Saying "fuck that shit" and doing whatever
the hell it is you please and having everything you always wanted fall
into your lap without having to lift a finger, that's what Slack is."

I also think there was an old eppisode of Seinfeld where George decided
that he was going to live his life by doing the exact opposite of
everything that lay along the path of "common sense" and "reason" and
it turned out great. Slack's a lot like that too.

Just sharing an interesting insight, and if you haven't seen "Office
Space", it's at least worth the price of rental.

sometimes when I am witnessin to people and they make a connection
like that, I tell them "well ... yeah, we made that movie" (or
whatever it is) ", that's a COS movie". Like DUH, doesn't everybody
know that?
