But the original Lord of the Rings WAS a musical! Every time you turn
around, somebody's singing something.
And it's not as if the songs were all that good -- the stuff in "Bored
of the Rings" is more memorable.
That's one of the many things the recent movies got right -- they
ditched the constant singing and poetizing.
