News shows, newspapers, magazines, talk shows, radio and websites
alike, are witnessing a surge in overall ratings thanks in large
degree to the unfolding Schiavo drama.

Coming right on the heels of Tom Brokaw and Dan Rather leaving their
respective anchor positions, networks like Fox-News, MSNBC, and CNN,
as well, have enjoyed a welcome round of chart-topping ratings, making
this one of the most lucrative TV News seasons to date this year.

A spokesperson for the press said Tuesday:

"We should take comfort in a time of global recession, war, political
corruption, state-sanctioned torture, global pandemics, and incipient
energy shortages threatening to plunge the world into a new Dark Age
that the media once again has it's priorities straight by focusing on
the unfortunate but dramatic and very interesting death of this one
individual for one reason and one reason only... getting those
Arbitron numbers UP!"

Sick X-tian corporate bastards. If they keep getting ratings like that
they will never let the world end.
