What the hell IS "carpet repair" anyway??

Don't they have to use giant looms to make carpets? Wouldn't similar
weaving type technology be necessary to repair them? Does Arthur come
into your house and go to work with some kind of crochet needles or
something? Couldn't you just buy new carpet for cheaper than it would
cost to have someone come and hand-crochet more carpet to repair
whatever has happened to yours??

God damn you, Arthur Lee Smart, I will get no sleep tonight because of
this!

After that he wipes the stains off his crotch with his hands then asks for
payment with his foul dirty liquid dripping of his chemically burt, ragged,
bloody hands.

you think you have it bad, I thought it was some kind of lady thing.
Now I am all confused.

Now I will be up all night with confused images of vacuum cleaners
with great slathering tongues trying to lick clean monstrous vaginas
growing out of the floor.

well granted, that's nothing new.

Why in Eris' name would a vacuum cleaner need a Tongue? Surely it would
treat a Vagina like we would treat a Can of Beer, just with more
Sucking and less Tipping.

Its all coded messages for a small conspiracy to give Heidi Klum a
chocolate pudding enema on "Star Search." Bet that would win, too.

Tuft Patching:
To patch a small area of cut-pile carpet with replacement tufts, cut
the damaged pile down to the backing with scissors, and pick out the
pile stubs with tweezers. Apply latex cement to the carpet backing.
Set replacement tufts into position using a tuft setter; drive the
setter through the carpet backing with a few taps from a hammer.

Cut and Patch:
Take a piece of scrap (never throw out the ends when you lay new
carpet) or a piece from an area that isn't seen, eg. inside closet,
under furniture, and use it to patch the damaged section. Hot glue is
used for fixing, color matching is done with dye.

Restretching:
Just what it says. Restretching a bunched up or loose carpet to reduce
wear and safety hazard.

Dyeing:
For badly discolored carpet in otherwise good condition you can dye it
to a darker color that will hide the stains.

Cleaning & shampooing:
Using industrial strength solvents and detergents.
