I've been reading "The Ultimates" faithfully since it began and trust
me, its definitely a cut above. Both the gritty stories and outstanding
art are wild fun expressed with skill, intelligence and flair, very much
unlike most anything else I have seen in a while. Yeah, its "just"
Marvel Comics, but this one is nearing "Watchmen" and "The Sandman" in
its own arena.

Mark Millar is on a roll and with this next phase, he'll surely be on
the Bush Enemies' List tout de suite, haw haw! Its just a hobby I
personally enjoy as an alternative to the New Republic and the shrill
op-ed pages, but I suspect most of you would generate some admiring
grins, momentary laughs and a few "Holy shit!"s if you read through the
trade paperback of the first run of 13 issues. Great stuff and a fun,
balancing condiment to the recent steady diet of political horsemeat.
