Why do the numbers of votes for each of the candidates keep increasing
slowly throughout the evening?

Don't they already KNOW exactly how many votes they paid for? Why don't
they just show that on TV?

Calculating it isn't that easy.

For example, in Little Rock, the price of a vote
is a pint of Aristocrat vodka and a pack of menthol
cigarettes. That just doesn't easily equate to, say,
buying a vote in Des Moines.

This is to give the Conspiracy Dupes the image that they can actually control
their Destinies.

Kinda like the Lottery.
