either the name "Bush" or the name "Kerry".
Instead we see the word "Butchered", for example,
in capital letters. . . a reference to the shocking
murder in broad daylight yesterday of the
controversial filmmaker Theo van Gogh."

No big surprise. After all, we're talking about a country with a far
broader culture than ours and which is not poisoned by BAPTISTS. When
you can sit quietly and have a pinch of hash with your morning paper
and cruller, you tend to have a wiser world view than a festive asylum
where a third of the place thinks Larry the Cable Guy is the new Lenny
Bruce.

One time in Mokum I was having a coffee,
toasties -- and a big fat cigarette with three
different things in it the way I like it (and
reading the Volkskrant) -- I wound up speaking
to a Protestant clergy dude who was doing
the same thing I was, only he was reading
Toruw, er, "Trouw" (the Dutch Protestant
newspaper).

I believe that most of the folks who profess
a religion in the Netherlands and Belgium are
of the Protestant variety and hail from the
"anabaptists" that also spawned
the Amish, the Quakers, the hordes of fundy
wackos throughout the US (especially in the
south), Lutherans, Hugenots, and other
assorted non-papists that originally assembled
under the tenets of "no Trinity"; "no 'Christ'
per-se Catholicism" and not baptising infants
(surprisingly considering the moniker).

Mass executions of protestants throughout
Europe by the Catholicthulhu cult secured
Protestantism there.
