They are all simply and willingly buying into the Con. They really
BELIEVE that it makes a difference whether it's the militaristic
millionaire Yale graduate Skull and Bones member in the BLUE necktie or
the militaristic millionaire Yale graduate Skull and Bones member in the
RED necktie which is Hand Puppet Number One of the Multinational
Corporations. They actually BELIEVE that it reflects upon one's
character which "candidate" one supports, that it is a valid basis for
ridicule if someone voted for the monkey that lost instead of the monkey
that won. They suffer from the asinine delusion that it matters more
than the World Series or the Superbowl. In fact, it's nothing more than
an expansion on World Wrestling "Entertainment" - whether the "good"
guy or the "bad" guy wears the belt, the script is written by the same
people, the paychecks come from the same office, and it's all run by the
same folks who NEVER APPEAR ON CAMERA. Even, or perhaps ESPECIALLY the
SubGenius may be self-victimized by slavish adoption of the Conspiracy's
bullshit.

All you need to know about world politics is this:

EVERY government is a criminal conspiracy to concentrate wealth and
power in the hands of a few, and to suppress dissent among the rest.

Big thieves hang little thieves.

Rich people get richer by getting poor people to kill each other in the
name of a phony ideal.

Kill a hundred people and you spend your life in jail. Kill a million
people and you ride to the opera in a limousine.

Kill six million people and the Russians surround your Chancellery,
wait for you to do the world a favor and blow your own brains out, and
then soak the body in gasoline and have a BBQ.

Sometimes the bastards *do* get theirs. But only sometimes.

The implication that Russia acted in response to the deaths of six
million people is entirely erroneous. (The handy six million is itself
erroneous, being indicative of one subcultural group only, leaving out
Slavs, Gypsies, Homosexuals, Intellectuals, Student Revolutionaries, the
Mentally Ill and Mentally Retarded, the Sick and Aged, Members of the
Clergy, etc.) Russia acted in response to a brutal military invasion,
not out of sympathy to a subcultural group historically victimized in
Russia.

Stalin killed 40 million Russians and died a hero.

One or two, yes. Hundreds and hundreds NEVER SHALL.

Hence the tedium I feel as I generally scroll PAST the political
debates, even when salient points are made. Its not that several such as
Vertigo, Alliekatt or Nu-Monet are WRONG; its that it makes not a lizard
poot's worth of difference if they are RIGHT.

The only "political" things that really matter to me in the end are
often based in the insanity yielded when you splice shitty,
self-serving, limp-wristed statesmanship with religious mania. When you
invoke "God," anyone with an IQ below about 120 falls to their faces
like a Muslim janitor on a break. If I thought my vote would somehow
make the Baptist fuckers of Arkinsaw pay $22/hr. for work that paid $22
in Kansas City, I'd be a votin' muthafucker, but it still hovers at
$7-8. Bullshit, especially regional bullshit, is like Marvel Comics'
HYDRA: cut off one arm and two more will grow to take its place. Its one
thing to be a whining defeatist and quite another to deny reality.

For example, where marihootchum is concerned, there IS no "drug
problem;" some fucking timber baron was just afraid he'd lose his market
dominance if a more easily renewed resource was applied to beating out
his investment, so he bought up some senators, designed a boogeyman in
the form of daughter-raping darkies and beatniks who huffed muggles and
voila, problem solved, prisons filled with Those Not Like Us and all is
right with the world.

So you are entirely correct: The ultimate bending-over before the Con
is debating a done deal at all. You can live life apart from politics,
no matter how appalling they get. Its really easy: FIND SOMETHING TO DO
WITH YOUR DAY BESIDES WALLOW IN THE FUCKING NEWS. I DARE YOU!

> Kill a hundred people and you spend your life in jail. Kill a million

Kill a billion and they sell t-shirts of you on MARDS.

I can't speak for others, but despite the impression my alt.slack
persona may give, I promise I really do think about things and do things
all the time that have absolutely nothing to do with politics or activism.

Sometimes I use alt.slack as an outlet, or as an excuse to hammer out a
few hundred words about something I care about without any tedious
editing for form. A lot of posters who never even bother to talk about
politics do the same, I think.

Sometimes I use alt.slack as a urinal, a sounding board, a spleen-vent
or a trampoline. Of course, once you've made use of it for the first
three, the fourth is a really messy proposition.

How fucking true! This is the bee's knees.
This is what all children should be taught in school.
This is the only world view that fits the facts and is useful for survival.

I wish I'd said this myself.

I agree with everything you said except the last five words.

I beg to differ. It looks like half of our children will trust the
government to be their friend and protector, aim too low in their
lives of crime, or join the army. Doing any of those things could get
you killed, but many will just simply march into the sausage machine
because they don't have a clue how things are stacked against them.
They would call you cynical beyond belief.

with the saucers showing up in New York somewhere? (we *know* that it
will be Austin!)
