This here's a good pome.

I like this pome. It has a "Duplex Planet" kind of feel to it, which is
to say "retarded." From christnet.poetry.

Bible Prophecy Gives Hope

Grievous and calamitous days are increasing.
Apprehension permeates this age.
The end of this age is fast approaching.
Revelation reveals God's judgment of world will soon rage.

Don't lose hope--a new age is coming.
At tribulation period's end--Jesus Christ will return.
Be patient, a much better age is forthcoming.
Bible prophecy is never wrong--let it not be a concern.

Christ will return and reign perfectly.
Glorified bodies we will have--no more sickness or pain.
Perfect justice will be dealt with swiftly.
Wars will be no more--perfect peace we will gain.

Between the races there will be no prejudice or hatred.
Pure love will be experienced with each other in abundance.
Selfishness and greed will be eradicated.
Deceased people we have known will be in the state of recognizance

A peaceful age is approaching--this is a Biblical prediction.
All who trust Christ as Savior will therein dwell.
Secure your future--receive God's gift of salvation.
With the Lord you will reign--all will be well.

(c) Jim Colton

My favorite stanza is the next to last, where he rhymes hatred with
eradicated and abundance with recognizance.

This is one of the ways I disprove religion. It's clear that there is no
place for chess or checkers in their heaven, because we will all be busy
lovixing each other and experiencing perfect peace. The only reason I
can think of experiencing peace without some sort of reflex to
competition comes in the form of a frontal lobotomy.

Isn't there a limited number of people who will get raptured? Perhaps
to accomplish this, we'll get aggregated together into Saved-lumps (*)
in order to keep down the numbers.

Puts a different perspective on "Hell is other people."

You're not implying you approve of "correctly...swiftly" and
"increasing...approaching", are you?

It's funny cause it's true!
Only it won't be THEM experiencing the gift.
which is even funnier.

IRTPTTETIWB (I read this post to the end thinking it was by) Kent Paul
Dolan.

It's quite humorous sometimes when you mistake the author before you
read the post and find some quite unusual things in people's mouths when
you read the post.
