Employees readying class-action lawsuit against EA

Yesterday, a blog entry from the spouse of a worker
at Electronic Arts lashed out against the game giant.
"The current mandatory hours are 9am to 10pm--seven
days a week--with the occasional Saturday evening off
for good behavior (at 6:30pm)," read the post, which
went on to claim that EA employees receive no overtime,
"comp" time, or additional vacation for their efforts...

For her side of the story and a shitload of responses.

Then again, whaddya expect? The whole field's fuelled by fucking pimple-
eyed adolescent morons who've no idea of how to live properly and think
coding games must be TEH BEST J0B EVAR SI TEH R0XX0R!!!!!!11! Anyway, in
they go, full of teenage mania/hormones/frenzy/substance abuse/stupidity.
Stay up all night, if they can, going a million miles a minute. And out
plops a game, chock full of bugs, but what the hell? Their fellow pimple-
eyed maroons will STILL buy the fucking derivative POS sim/RPG/FPS game,
the parent corp makes tons of money off it...
...and PROMOTES some of those pimples to manager. And there's the problem.
The managers come from the dull-witted stock that see nothing wrong with
staying up for 88 days at a stretch because they're hopped up on Jolt and
OMG CODING K3WL GAMEZ OMG IS I TEH R4WK!!!!! - no wonder their time frames
are screwed up, bugs never fixed, world without end, well maybe next year.
Probably just as well I never managed to get in the industry. Organising a
resource library sucks, but not as badly as her hubby's job.
