The words they didn't say

From Salon.com:

We heard all sorts of things in the six hours of debates that came to a
close Wednesday night in Tempe. We heard about "hard work" and a
"comprehensive strategy" in the war on terror. We heard about "going it
alone." We heard George W. Bush start and abort a weird joke about altered
documents from CBS. We heard both John Edwards and John Kerry make
gratuitous comments about Mary Cheney's sexual orientation. And God knows we
heard a few things about No Child Left Behind.

Here's are some words we didn't hear:

Chads. Butterfly ballots. Disenfranchisement. Ralph Nader. Dick Cheney's
energy task force. The Arctic National Wildlife Reserve. Duck hunting with
Antonin Scalia. Fuel efficiency. SUVs. Mars.

Bushs bulge. Jim Jeffords. Paul O'Neill. Richard Clarke. Valerie Plame.
Venezuela. Peru. Haiti. Hunger. MoveOn. Lawrence v. Texas. Jim McGreevey.
Martha Stewart. The lockbox.

Jose Padilla. Yaser Hamdi. Guantanamo Bay. The death penalty. Miguel
Estrada. Judge Roy Moore. Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Texas Air National
Guard. Alabama. AWOL. The order to shoot down civilian aircraft. "The Pet
Goat."

Ahmed Chalabi. Jessica Lynch. Danny Pearl.

Terror alerts. The Presidential Daily Brief. Condoleezza Rice. Fishing.
"Greeted as liberators." Abu Ghraib.

I agree. There is a whole bunch of ammunition that Kerry never bothered to
fire off. Kind of makes me wonder why he holds back. Mebbe he has
vulnerabilities in these areas? Some of this stuff could have made W
really cringe and stammer. That last debate was a boring rehash of the
others and it shouldn't have been.

And whatever did happen to America's little wonder weapon Jessica Lynch?
With her incredible battlefield performance she should be on the campaign
trail right next to W to cheer on the troops and put the terrorists on
notice.

And what the fuck about Halliburton's millions in overcharges for meals
never served? Why is this not a 'Gate' level scandal?

Because X-gate, where X is a scandal, is rhetoric usually used by the right.

Like I really believe Kerry gives one anal squirt about the eroding fortunes
of America's working class (that means white-collar schlubs too, bub).

Real humans are fucking abstractions to these over-privileged white boys.

The political elite in the country are an overwhelmingly compelling argument

Sauce for the gander, old boy. Relax. Kerry is in, Bush is out.
That's the script and Bush is only just becoming aware of it. That's
why he's all pouty and frowns a lot. He knows he's going to lose.

Kerry is neocon lite. Nothing changes except you get the antiwar crowd
off your back, you calm down your so-called allies, and most important,
you have a democrat in the white house during the worst recession in 40
years.

PLUS, you kill Hillary's chances in 2008.

I can't stress that enough. Hillary is a serious threat because she
can't be controlled. You've already got way too much power in the
executive. Now, imagine what could happen if she gets her hands on
that and starts playing the rats off against each other? If Bush wins,
you get Hillary's Revenge in 2008. That CANNOT be allowed to happen,
ergo, Kerry wins.

Simple really.

(easier than calling $50 oil. Seems I went a bit low on that one...heh.)

pb

PS. Hillary had already chosen Martha Stewart as her running mate.
That's why they took Martha out. (Don't ask me how I know)

The easiest explanation is that Kerry is pro-corruption. He was near
the top of the "campaign contributions" list in the Senate.

Kerry is very much in favor of business as usual.

Refute WHAT?

You've imputed that Kerry is "pro-corruption" and that this is
"business as usual" based on your claim that he was at the top of the
"campaign contributions" list (your quotes, whatever the fuck they are
meant to imply, who knows) in the Senate, which may or may not be
true, it hasn't even CROSSED YOUR MIND to post any kind of support of
this before challenging respondents to REFUTE what you haven't even
ATTEMPTED to support, but even if it IS true, you have got MILES AND
MILES TO GO before you link your TWO arm-wavy morally-superior
accusations to your ONE unsupported claim.

Refute WHAT you MORON?

A whole fucking generation of voters too fucking STUPID to even GRASP
that there is a difference between vague "we're morally superior to
THEM" fucking RHETORIC AND MEANINGLESS SOUND BITES and anything
RESEMBLING a real argument. And so fucking STUPID that they can
present this as if it were a realy argument, and THEN, get SNIFFY
because they haven't been properly REFUTED.

REFUTE WHAT, YOU FUCKING BLINKING GOD DAMNED IDIOT?

YOU HAVEN'T EVEN FUCKING SAID ANYTHING.

A whole GENERATION of you motherfuckers. The MTV generation is
VOTING.

You know all those TV commercials urging you to go out and vote,
trying to get the American people to snap out of their apathy and go
take part in the government?

IGNORE THEM.

The time for you to snap out of your apathy was DECADES ago when you
were still young enough to learn to THINK LOGICALLY. You haven't got
the foggiest idea what is going on in the world beyond the snappy
sound bites you pick up from MTV and CNN and Rush Limbaugh and Bill
O'Reilly and fucking McDonald's commericals and voter entertainment
extravaganzas sponsored by the CREDIT CARD COMPANIES. You haven't got
a fucking CLUE what's going on, and you KNOW IT.

It's possible to lack a lot of knowledge of the world, but it's not
possible to not know that you lack it. YOU KNOW you haven't got a
FUCKING CLUE.

DON'T VOTE. TALK TO YOUR PEER GROUP. DISCOURAGE THEM FROM VOTING
TOO.

A million WRONG votes are better than one truly IGNORANT vote.

You know I genuinely do not hold one political party or the other in
faith. I have a preference in this election, but it doesn't matter.

The problems of all systems of government are the same, and the
problems of all political parties are essentially the same.

Any philosophy of government can work, if all those in the system
really get behind it. Communism would work, if everybody in it had
the ideals of Marx. Democracy would work, if everybody in it had the
ideals of Thomas Jefferson.

Systems of government fail because those in the system don't undestand
how they are intended to work. It's only by those in the system
really living up to the princiuples of the system of government that
they do work, and any system will work if they do.

Systems of government fail because of a conspiracy, a conspiracy of
DUNCES.

If you're ignorant, YOU KNOW IT. And THAT'S OK. If you're ignorant,
stay ignorant, if that's what you want. But don't try to take part in
the government, because people like YOU are what fuck it all up.
Accept that you are being ruled as best you can be and work hard. And
shut up.

Or if you aren't happy with that, LEARN SOMETHING, beyond half-assed
sound bites like "oh Kerry is just business as usual!" or "Kerry is
pro-corruption". If you don't even GRASP how to validate an
accusation like that, either LEARN TO DO SO or ACCEPT YOUR IGNORANCE.
Accept your status as a slave. YOU'LL BE HAPPIER.

But fucking do one or the other. Educate yourself or shut fhe fuck
up.

Don't think that the set of instincts you learned growing up on MTV
are sufficient to craft a system of government. They aren't.

So have you stopped beating youir wife?

Well, lets look at Bush.

http://www.publicdebt.treas.gov/opd/opdpdodt.htm

$1.612 trillion dollars indebt in three budget years.
That's $537 billion a year.

And now America's largest 80 big businesses
pay no taxes.

Well, we know Socialism For Big Business
is the shits.

Bush, either corrupt or stupid or both.
I vote for Both.

And Kerry won't be lying us into any wars.
Bush, well, he has already.

And as the finale,

Nobel economists back John Kerry
Democratic presidential nominee wins endorsement of 10 Nobel Prize-winning
economists.
August 25, 2004

PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - John Kerry won the endorsement of 10 Nobel
Prize-winning economists on Wednesday as he attacked President Bush for
policies that he said have led to the creation of only low-paying jobs.

The Democratic presidential nominee released a letter from the economists
saying the Bush administration had "embarked on a reckless and extreme
course that endangers the long-term economic health of our nation.''

They cited "poorly designed'' tax cuts that, instead of creating jobs, have
turned budget surpluses into enormous budget deficits. A "fiscal
irresponsibility threatens the long-term economic security and prosperity of
our nation,'' they concluded.

The endorsement, in the form of an open letter to American voters, was
signed by George Akerlof and Daniel McFadden of the University of California
at Berkeley, Kenneth Arrow and William Sharpe of Stanford University, Daniel
Kahneman of Princeton University, Lawrence Klein of the University of
Pennsylvania, Douglass North of Washington University, Paul Samuelson and
Robert Solow of MIT and Joseph Stiglitz of Columbia University.

Kerry, in remarks prepared for an appearance in Philadelphia, called for
"jobs that don't just let you survive but let you get ahead. Jobs that let
you pay your bills, send your kids to college, buy a house, save a little
for retirement and go out to dinner or a movie every once in a while.''

Now, he said, good jobs are being replaced "with ones that just don't pay
the bills,'' citing 1.8 million private-sector jobs that have been lost and
replaced by ones that pay $9,000 less and are more likely to be temporary
and less likely to offer health insurance.

http://money.cnn.com/2004/08/25/news/economy/kerry_economists.reut/index.htm

Anybody not stupid will be out there pulling the Kerry
lever in the voting booth like a cocaine crazed lab monkey
come November 2.

Kerry may not be the second coming, but he is not a crazed,
insane, total fuck up, absolutley corrupt and deeply stupid failure
like Bush.

November 2 will sort out the true patriots and true lovers of
America from the Bush voters.
