Why does it take a government to say a thing like that and why does it take
a school to teach it? All responsible parents should make their children

Cordwainer Smith died lamentably early and was unable to finish his
planned timeline of books based on The Instrumentality of Mankind and
the Underpeople, but one key point made in a short story was the
galactically-accepted law that anyone caught exporting religion to
another planet was immediately executed.
If you want a great primer, hunt down his novel "Norstrilia," which,
although self-contained, touches on all of his other works. Great stuff.
