I just got off the phone to Meg's dad. He told me she died at one
o'clock this morning after surgery for a ruptured appendix. Jack had
rushed her to the hospital at midnight when she suddenly woke up
vomiting blood. She'd been fine earlier in the day, so nobody
suspected that she was even sick. Meg and I were planning to meet in
Richmond later this week to plot a mid-Atlantic devival--she was all
fired up for it and so was I. And now she's gone.

I tried to talk to RevJack, but he is so overcome with grief that he
was barely coherent on the phone. The kids were crying in the
background; this is just all too terrible and sad, but I thought I
should let you all know.

I'll be driving up to DC for the funeral on Wednesday, if anybody from
around here wants to go with me. I have to go now--I have some friends
to call and give the awful news.

Damn! Mumthra was rilly cute! I'm kinda hoping that I can warm up her dead
cooter with a curling iron and have a go at her anyway.

Curling iron my ass! Try stuffing a few pickled habaneros in her and
letting them sit overnight. You'll LIKE it.

for some reason this thread reminded me of an old miraculos mutha advice
column in a early 80's easyriders that advised the writer to wash off a can
full of night crawlers and put them back in and fill with slightly hot to
the touch baby oil and bury his unit to the hilt. in times of sorrow people
need all the help they can get,,,,,,,,,,

Shit, like fuckin' 'em while they're ALIVE ain't bad enough; now we're
gettin' stiffies over the dead? Ah well; just get 'em in the freezer and
we'll ship 'em to XXX-Day on dry ice for a plug-go-round. Its turning into
quite a star-spangled line-up: Iceknife, Mumthra, several others coughin' up
blood or lookin' mighty pale.

Hell, if Sterno can get that llama-fuckin' thing in motion, surely we have
enough heart to spare when it comes to porkin' the corpses of our own. I'm
still living, sorta, and I'm already walkin' sideways like a fucking crab
from it all.

Never mind mere prarie squid; bring out yer DEAD! That's some mighty fine
ham-slammin' there, Binny! Got any potato salad to go with that? No
pimentos, though, please.

Why sure, that'd be great. I could explain to you what Lawrence

Maybe you can explain where all my goddamn batteries went, too. Jesus.
I'm surprised that it was the appendix that was the first to go.
