"Bob"'s Great "Intention"

For Immediate Broadcast,

From: Rev. Nolan Boyd

I just heard HoS 549, in which (in a sidelong comment) you compared how many "garbage bags full" of "Bob"'s notes it took to create the first and second BotSGs.

Given the kinds of "things" "Bob" likes to put his notes on, I think it's likely you may have uhh been wasting your time for the past fifteen years or so. That 's right: Connie just wanted "Bob" to throw out all that stuff, and he thought he could get you to do it. When he said it was "important," the "it" he meant wasn't the notes, it was getting those bags thrown out (maybe like Lee Oswald, he never bothered to pay to get his garbage thrown out, and palmed it off on whomever would accept it).

I think there 's a lesson here for all of us. :

The poor lost fool.

Of course Connie wanted him to throw it all out and get a "real job", that dosen't make it any less important.
How many pamphlet #1's were tossed in the trash? And for that matter Mary Magdalin threw out ALL my writings, imagine if she would have handed them to someone who published them!!!

That always pissed me off, she said that I should just stick to teaching and healing because there wasn't any real money in writing. Of course she was right since no one could read at the time. But what did that bitch know!! She couldn't turn a decent buck unless she was on her back anyway.

>This is SCARING me...

Good, that usually means I 'm onto something, or on something, or something.

Then again, can "Bob" truly be said to "want" anything (except sex and money) in the way we want things (and, uhh "come" to think of it, the way we can be said to "want" sex and money is but a pale imitation of how "Bob" wants these Great Goods of the Spirt).

That is to say, maybe "Bob" wanted you to throw these things out so that you would misinterpret him and found this cult, this Church, this great cultural craftifact, this esrod of gold within our inward places.

Then again, maybe you and Philo were just lying around on the couch watching Chuck Jones torture a coyote who had just proclaimed himself a super-genius when Philo suddenly piped up "He'd be better off as a `SubGenius'," and here we are today.

Like Ol' Bull Lee said, a superhero comic or church is the perfect consumer good: there is never any need to improve the current product, you need only degrade the origin story.
