this is from the proceedings of the spring meeting of the TX section of
APS (aMerican phYsical Society):
The American Physical SOciety and the Holy Roman empire; by Lawrence Cranberg,
AUstin, TX. The decline of the APS participation in the annual joint Meeting
of APS-AAPT (Amer. ASsoc. of phYs. Teachers) is now official. Management of
the meeting has been assumed by AAPT. The SIGNIFICANCE of this decline will
be discussed in light of changes in the nature of APS associated with the major
constitutional changes of 1966, which transformed APS into a FEDERATION of
SPECIALISTS under a SELF-PERPETUATING EXECUTIVE SECRETARY. Those and other
transformations, together with the recent REFUSAL TO DISPLAY THE AMERICAN
FLAG at AIP-APS headquarters, or to discuss the matter at an APS Council
Meeting, suggest parallels with history of the medieval Holy Roman Empire
(neither holy, nor Roman, nor empire), which became the Third Reich (empire).

Well, Mr. Cranberg is clearly onto somthing here. The COn is showing its
face even in the running of a scientific organisation. But that was to
be expected. The Conspiracy IS everywhere. ACtually, where you born yesterday
Cranberg ? wake up! slack off. I would have thought that proximity to the
Church's root would have some devolving effect on you, closing the eye of
reaSON.
