| } Ok, where did you hear this? It needs to be proclaimed loudly from the
| } rooftops. Please don't tell me you heard it from someone 'on the inside'
| } of the Duke campaign.
|
| Nope. I don't know anyone on the inside of the Dukakampaign. I read
| about it on the front page of the Boston Globe (an admittedly mostly
| pro-Duke rag) a couple of days ago. (This past Friday? or Saturday?
| Real recent. Call the Globe and check their morgue.)
|
| The guy they quoted was another flyer in the same wing or squadron or
| whatever they are. He says that contrary to Bush's assertion, the plane
| wasn't on fire. "There was a puff of smoke." Someone from the Bush
| campaign said essentially, "The vice-president has told this story many
| times, therefore this version is absurd." The Globe story used that
| quoted "absurd" 3 times.
|
| I wish I'd cut this one out. If you find it, please send me a
| photocopy. (I'll trade you copies of my Reagan and the Two Big Fucking
| Dogs stories.)
