Rapturous autos

It's all been a gorgeous mistake (callas%eris.DEC@decwrl.dec.com)

In regard to the rapture bumper stickers:

Actually, no Pride is being commited. The rapture is a property of the car, not
the driver. Note that it only said that the driver of the car will be vanished,
not that the driver deserved it. If one of us skeptic-types were in the car,
we'd be raptured, just like anyone else.

Therefore, suing the prigs isn't going to do that much good. You'll probably be
laughed out of court. You should find out if the bumper sticker was original
equipment on the auto. If so, you'd be perfectly right in suing its
manufacturer for public endangerment. If it wasn't, you might be able to sue
the manufacturer of the bumper sticker or whoever installed it.

Incidentally, if some innocent person gets inadvertantly raptured when driving
that car, it seems quite likely that there's a good case for a Wrongful Rapture
suit.
