Bush is denying that their policy was to trade arms with the hostages at the
*very beginning* of their administration, something Dukakis didn't even
accuse him of.

I believe he meant "the beginning of the operation" not of the
administration.

[Note: there is lots of evidence for the theory that Reagan and Bush made a
deal to trade arms with Iran way back in 1980, while the hostages were still
being held. They say that we've given Iran over $1 billion dollars worth
of arms since Reagan/Bush came into office, as part of the deal to not
release the 52 hostages until Carter left office. For more info on this
conspiracy, and others, contact:

Personally I prefer "Crunchy Frog."

If you really hate the only R&B administration in the country, do
something about it. After reading excerpts of this new book which
claims that the 25th amendment might have been used against Reagan, Rep
Peter Rodino (House majority whip) said yesterday that he would begin
impeachment hearings on Reagan if enough people felt that they were
warrented (on the grounds of unfitness to serve). It's one of those 900
numbers, because one of those liberal organisations is doing the
tallying.
