I was give a pamphelet this afternoon in Sproul
Plaza at Berkeley. I would like to share it with the Net:
WHERE IS ABBIE?
Abbie Hoffman was a radical and wanted the world to know it.
He rejected all authority and chose a life of rebellion, sex, and drugs.
But rejecting God was his big mistake!!
The Bible says, "Don't kid yourself. God is not mocked. what you sow is what you reap."
Sure enough Abbie's sins caught up with him when he overdosed on drugs.
He learned the hard way that "the wages of sin is death."
On his way out, did he think to get right with God, probably not-- who can think straight on dope?
So, odds are, Abbie's in Hell today though God doesn't want anyone to go there.
Now what about you? The Bible says, whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
That means, turn away from your sins, call on the Lord Jesus to forgive you, and God will help you get your act straight.
God loves you but don't expect Him to feel sorry for you if you go to Hell.
That is your choice not God's.

[An interesting approach to evangelism. I've seen plenty of pleas to
repent before, but I think this is the first time I've seen one
mention a specific person who is (probably) in Hell. My first
reaction was to wonder why they would mention a specific name, given
our Lord's very specific instructions not to judge others. But on
further reflection, I can see that it's an attempt to penetrate the
drug culture by referring to a specific drug-related tragedy. Still,
I wonder whether this is the right way to do it. I wonder whether any
of our readers have have been working in any ministries related to
drugs, and would tell us about their experiences. --clh]

Apparently someone's infected alt.drugs and other Lusenet newsgroups
with all kinds of "How can you people be so evil, You're all going to
Hell" sorts of stuff, without signing his name (the path shows that they
come from "2014_5001@uwovax.uwo.ca"), except that someone noticed he
also posted to comp.lang.c and did sign it over there, can we send him
anything interesting? He signs his alt.drugs rants as SATAN from HELL or
something like that.....maybe the real S dude can drop him a line and
ask him to stop forging?

I'm sure many of you have seen some rather ignorant and offensive
postings by a man who seems to think he speeks for satan.
This man is actually Alex Pruss from the University of Western Ontario.
A quick check shows he has posted to the following newsgroups recently:
soc.culture.misc, soc.motss, talk.bizarre, talk.origins, talk.politics.soviet,
talk.rumors, comp.lang.c x 3, comp.os.cpm, comp.sources.games.bugs,
comp.sys.apple x 3, comp.sys.ibm.pc, comp.text, rec.arts.sf-lovers,
rec.games.hack, rec.games.moria, rec.humor x 2, and alt.drugs x 3
While many postings are offensive and signed satan@uwovax.bitnet others
are informative and intelligent postings. I think what we have is a
net addict who is either very conservative and very very ignorant
or is just trying to get a response. I now believe it the the latter.
Either way, I think this man is a fool and deserves a slap on the hand.
However, I do not have the time nor money to make the needed calles to the
Univerisity of Western Ontario and inform them of his posting to soc.motss.

I just discovered this newsgroup and I have one thing to say. I can't believe that there are Homo Sapiens out there that actually promote the use of drugs. I thought that almost everyone that used computers had at least some level of intelligence. I can now see that I was wrong.
Please GET HELP. Stop ruining your lives before it is too late. Anyone that uses drugs for recreational purposes is an idiot. Surely you must realize this!
What does it take, does someone you know have to OD before you wise up? Get a real life and stop using drugs to get your kicks. There are under 18's that read this group, as if they didn't have enough peer pressure already!

Well Ron, you must be a complete jerk. I hope (I can guess) that you have no friends. You don't deserve to be part of the human race. What kind of a moron posts a signed, addressed message to a government sponsored bulletin board asking for drugs?? Are you looking for your first friend to be in the FBI or DEA?? Or perhaps do you want to get intimately (and I mean intimately) acquainted with life in America's penal system?? You really have to watch your back in there I can tell you. Have you left your house in the last two years (you do live in a house don't you, not in a cardboard box with a NEWS terminal)?? Surely you jest when you say you can't find drugs in New York state. ... and there's no violent crime at all ... Get out more!!
In the mean time, I hope you discover the world of drugs. I hear the ones with needles are really good, especially if you share with all your friends (or at least accquaintances since we've already established that you are too lowly to have friends). Maybe then you'll die a slow lingering death before you become more of a costly burden to society (do you know how much it costs to keep scum like you in jail??).
