Ok, dudes, dupes, etc... in order to counter the rising tide of Pinkness, I
*NEED* a copy of the "Book of the Subgenius". Can anyone tell me more about
this important tome? Like, the kind of details which would help a bookshop
find it?

It's published by MacMillan. The two more recent SubG books (High
Weirdness by Mail and Three-Fisted Tales) are published by Simon &
Schuster. These are major publishers so a bookstore should have no
problems ordering it.
BTW, for those tracking the emergence of "Bob" memes into mainstream
media, check out the current issue of _The New Yorker_ and today's Zippy
strip in the Boston Globe.
