} WFMU (91.1 FM) is a long-standing member of the independent radio
} community... Three area ``public'' radio stations are trying to get
} them to reduce their wattage... This will reduce their contributor base
} to below the point necessary for their continued operation.
}
} FMU has a fantastic mixture of strange stuff, including music that can't
} be found anywhere else on the dial in the area.... They were also the
} base for Sister Krys' SubG radio program; they now broadcast the 1/2
} hour of Slack every Monday morning.

Yess. Absolusterally! I endured High School within their audio
radiance, and it was about the only ray of contra-kultural hope
available to a poor mutant youth in that crayola-pinkflesh suburb. I
may be the [CLASSIFIED] I am today because of an unexpected
Inter-Coincidental VALIStic Meme-stream from WFMU flashtowers.
(Certainly *no* *one* *else* was playing Frank Zappa, or the Firesign
Theatre, into the ears of impressionable yeti-youth back in the
middle-to-late 60's.)
So, be the calvary, ride over that hill, slaughter them... err...
whatever. Tell 'em "Dr. Foo told me to do this!" They won't
understand, but they'll still dig it. Do it today. Guaranteed: You'll
be glad that you did (or double-your-previous-misery back!)
