Last fall a Massachusetts entrepreneur began selling Old Glory
Condoms with the slogan, ``Worn With Pride Country Wide.'' [the product
was introduced at the MIT List Visual Arts Center, as a matter of fact. --mt]
Another couple of Boston businessmen are working on a similar
strategy, selling condoms named and designed for different and
decidedly off-beat markets.
The pair -- Adam Glickman and David Wedel -- market the condoms
with humor (among their mottos: ``Safe Sex With a Smile, It's
Serious Business'') and not a little audacity. One, a glow-in-the
dark model, is called Knight Light.
They also plan to market a condom to heavy metal rock music fans
and call it Metal Rubbers, and already have hit the market with
Homeboy Condoms -- aimed at black youths -- which they plan to
advertise this summer with a 40-foot-long blimp.
The condoms are manufactured by Safetex Corp. of Lyndhurst,
N.J., and packaged and distributed by Glickman's and Wedel's
company, Custom Condoms.
The partners got the idea while attending Tufts University when
they began selling Jumbo Brand Condoms -- named after the school's
mascot -- to classmates and sold 500 in 36 hours.

Are there any Bronner's athorities? I've read the complete bottle and
am not quite sure if I should send off for the "12 magic scrolls"....
has anyone done this? (If not, I'll post them soon)
