1. Recycle newspaper, glass, aluminum, tin.
2. Reuse paper and plastic bags. Take them back to stores with you.
3. Aviod disposible plates, cups, and utensils. Use washable items.
4. Avoid styofoam. If that's all they have, eat somewhere else & tell them why
5. Learn to use chopsticks and take them with you to eat.
6. Use rags instead of paper towels.
8. Use the back of discarded paper for scratch.
9. Compost food scraps.
10. Avoid highly processed foods. Buy foods without additives and
preservatives. Don't let them addict you to MSG.
11. Eat foods low on the food chain.
12. Buy locally grown produce and other foods.
13. Volunteer to maintain local parks and wilderness.
14. Help plant trees in your community.
15. Use non-toxic, biogradable soaps and detergents.
16. Turn off lights when not in use.
17. Buy energy-efficient appliances.
18. Use rechargable batteries.
19. Support local shops and resturants, not chains.
20. Volunteer to cook for senior citizens.
22. Pick up litter along highways and near your home.
23. Learn about global "third world" issues, and think of ways to help.
24. Support politically active groups.
25. Decrease TV watching.
26. Excersize regularly and eat nutritious foods.
27. Be concious of the struggles of oppressed people.
28. Donate blood if your health permits.
29. Wear warmer clothing and use less heat.
30. Take shorter showers.
31. Walk, Bicycle, carpool, or use mass transit.
32. If you must drive, drive a fuel-efficient car.
33. Learn how your senators, representatives, and councilmembers vote.
34. Write letters to politicians expressing your point of view.
35. Work to unlearn cultural sexism and racism.
36. Communicate openly with your freinds.
37. Take time to go out into NATURE.

First of all, I'd amend that last line to
`where xsetroot` -bitmap bob.xbm
for obvious reasons.

Secondly, many early readers of this indigest will remember the endless
months of pixmap postings. Well, though I'm not eager to fill bandwidth
(or whatever it is you do with it) with lots o' pixmaps, I will repost
my own favorite: Smokin' Coz McBob.

eye (heavily filtered using gaussian supersampling).
