Step one: put it in a file.
Step two: say "uudecode file".
Step three: say "uncompress bob2.x.Z".
Now you have an X11-format bitmap in bob2.x.

Further evidence that members of our government continue to lose their grasp on the real world...especially in Louisiana. -----------------------------------------------------------------

NEW THREAT TO FLAG BURNERS

Chronicle Wire Services

The Louisiana House yesterday narrowly approved legislation that would dramatically lessen the penalties for a person convicted of assaulting someone who desecrates the U.S. flag. On a vote of 54 to 39, with 53 the bare majority, the lower chamber approved the measure by Representative James David Cain, a Democrat, and sent it to the Senate for further action. Under the bill, a person convicted of simple battery of a flag burner would pay a maximum fine of $25 without being sentenced to prison. Currently, the maximum state penalty for simple battery is a $500 fine and six months in prison. "I am sick and tired of marijuana-planting, dope-smoking hippies burning the American flag," Cain said. "Not a one of us in this room has not lost an ancestor at some time defending the American flag." Representative Randy Roach, however, said: "It is not the flag that has kept us free. It is the rights and privileges which are guaranteed to each American by law which is responsible for our survival as a free nation. "If this bill passes, then we as a Legislature have placed every right, every freedom, every privilege guaranteed to us and embodied in our Constitution at risk for $25," he said.
