hunan bean - a poem

i thought i saw the hunan bean
sit humbly on a bamboo harp
and though the bean was dry and dull
i thought the hunan bean of wit still sharp
i thought i had been asked by the bean
to relate my heart's most tempted hour
revery raced back to that time
i stood in "Bob"'s tatoo and pasta parlor
the hunan bean and i wept openly then
and as the words died in echos hollow
i thought i saw the bamboo harp
in vain attempt the bean to devour
