Re:
I'm amazed to hear talk of guidelines for this list. Could you explain how
someone's first essays at creative writing (I refer here to hunan bean
poems) have made it past the guidelines, to fill mail buffers across the
nation? I added myself to this list because it purported to carry
satirical bits related to folly and intolerance, whether political,
religious, or otherwise caused. If I'm going to be subjected to cute
doggerel, though, I'll remove myself from the list.

Hmmm, those were my sentiments when I read the hunan bean stuff too.
I have every cycle accounted for, here at work, but I *make* time to read
the digest because I believe that its important to stay ahead of the
rightists. I write letters to congressmen etc as follow up to many of the
postings i see here.

I am (somewhat) offended by some of the sexual material (I was relieved to
have missed "The Education of (Some womans name here)" because I've been
violently raped twice and find the subject of rape very UNentertaining.
However, in the interest of seperation of church and state, I find
references to sexually explicit material quite tolerable.

But I had a really hard time tolerating the hunan bean stuff. What can I
say, I hate cartoons too.

BTW, I did try to ftp anonymously the original file and failed (user
ignorance, I'm sure) and was really glad to see that someone else did me
the service of posting the whole article. okbye Hel
