-Genesis 6:1-4
About which the _Book of the Subgenius_ says:
"At their beginnings in antiquity, the humans - a wild, nomadic,
preSubGenius race - reverted to civilization and accepted Conspiracy rule.
Whenever SubGenii gained a foothold in history, the humans pronounced to
thwart what they saw - perhaps correctly - as a threat to their pathetic
'control' over the planet. [...]
"It began shortly after the Elder Gods forced the Xists to exterminate the
donosaurs. At this time, the Stark Fist of All the Gods smote a tiny,
monkeylike mammal called 'Primo-Anthropocus' and split his gene-line into
two: one, a seriously flawed attempt called Australopithicus (which, under
JHVH-1's occasional smiting, evolved into the modern human); and another,
the True Atlanteans (Homo Directus), of whom the first was The First
'Bob.'"
The latter are said to be the Yetis/Nephilim/Giants.
However, in the _Secret Book According to John_ (29:14+):
"For it (the ruler [i.e. JHVH-1/Ialdabaoth]) had brought darkness down over
all the earth. And in the company of its powers, it made a plan. It sent
its angels to the daughters of humankind to take some of them unto
themselves and so to raise up a posterity as a comfort for themselves. And
at first they did not succeed. Then after they had not succeeded, they
assembled again, and all together made a plan. They made a counterfeit
spirit in the image of the spirit that had descended, by which they would
befoul the souls. And the angels changed in image, after the images of
their doubles, filling them with the spirit of darkness, which they mixed
with them, and with wickedness. They brought gold, silver, gifts, copper,
iron, metal, and all kinds of raw materials. And they beguiled the people
who followed them into great anxieties, leading them astray in many errors.
Humankind grew old without having any leisure [slack], and died without
discovering any truth or becoming acquainted with the god of truth. And
thus was the whole creation perpetually enslaved, from the foundation of
the world down to the present time.
"And they married women and begot children out of the darkness, after the
image of their spirit. And their hearts became closed and hardened with
the hardness of the counerfeit spirit [the Con], down to the present time."
In other words, the _Book of the SubGenius_, like the Bible, got this
small, but very important point completely backwards! How can this be? In
the case of the Bible, the misinformation is understandable because the
Bible is obviously a product of the Con. But in the case of the
_SubGenius_, one would have hoped it unnecessary to consider the same
possibility.
