Behold, I, Marmota Monax, was fiddling with my genetalia last Wednesday night
when I beheld a figure like a woman made of burning glass who spake unto me.
"Wise up, O mortal, and listen to the Doom that shall overtake thee!"
Around her I saw four stars of gold and four times four stars of silver.
At her feet where four streams of liquid copper and four times four boulders of
iron. "Write these words down and deliver them to the chosen!"
"Bob is dead. Long Live Bob."
And a great chorus rose up and screamed "Either/Or! Either/Or! Either/Or!"
And the woman of burning glass became a prehistoric armored fish and pulled me
down into the depths where she showed me two doors. "One door leads to truth"
she said "the other leads to the other truth. Choose one."
And the chorus screamed "Either/Or! Either/Or! Either/Or!"
And I chose the right door which opened and showed me a great pipe that smoked
of its own accord though no one breathed through it. A voice said "My name is
Mike. His name is Bob."
The fish, however, slammed the door shut and spake "You guessed wrong."
And I asked "Was that the truth or the other truth?" but I recieved no answer.
Then I chose the left-hand door and I beheld the figure of John F. Kennedy who
said "Everyone chooses the right hand door. To keep the world balanced you must
chose the left."
And I said "I thought you were dead."
He said "I have not yet been born."
"You're not John?" I asked.
"I am Otis." he said.
