The other day I think I saw a very serious report on CNN in which a Madonna
record was played backward and Satanic lyrics were supposedly heard
(complete with subtitles superimposed for the paranoia-impaired on screen).
The reporter expressed her "grave concern" or suchlike words. Did anyone
else see this or was I hallucinating. I know the channel is based in
Georgia, but I'd expect this more from the Nashville Network, y'know?
The real question, of course, is why they're always spinning Madonna
backwards. Imagine what you'd hear if you played, say, Wayne Newton
backwards. Or Hank Willliams, Jr.
